GitLab Maintenance scheduled for Thursday, 18th December 2025, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM BST. GitLab will be in read-only mode and experience short periods of complete downtime (up to 20 minutes) during this window.
The Scalable Open Architecture For Embedded Edge (SOAFEE) Special Interest Group (SIG) is an industry led collaboration with the remit to help solve the increasing software complexity in the automotive domain as we move towards the software defined vehicle of the future.
The SOAFEE SIG is working to bring the best in class software design methodologies from the industry and update them to meet the additional domain specific requirements of the automotive world. These additional requirements includes features such as Functional Safety, Realtime, Mixed Criticality and others.
## Structure
The structure of the SIG has the [Governing Board](soafee/governing-board) which is comprised of the founding members in overall control of the strategic direction of the project. The Governing Board is responsible for creating [Working Groups](soafee/working-groups) and defining the scope and responsibilities of these groups. Anybody is able to contribute to the output of the working groups within the scope of the defined goals.
